Inderbir Singh Sodhi (known as Ish Sodhi) born in 31 October 1992. He is a New Zealand cricketer who represents the New Zealand national team in all formats. He ranked no.1 for T20I in january 2018. He had been working with Dipak Patel from a young age, another former Kiwi spinner. Sodhi created the leg-break and bowls the googly at times. Although he failed to create an impression on his List A debut in Vizag against India A, in 2013 he was included in the 15-man team trip of Bangladesh and made his debut in the first Chittagong test.

As the name indicates, Sodhi comes from an Indian roots family. They had moved to New Zealand where the young Ish from a tender era followed his cricketing fortunes. A wrist spinner is always a tempting proposition, especially in the modern era of today, where most pitches bat friendly. Add to it the two fresh 50-over cricket balls that made finger spinners difficult to live. Sodhi is therefore definitely a precious commodity that New Zealand can not afford to disregard. But with another leggie also in the ranks in Todd Astle, the contest for Sodhi is certainly rigid. However, the nice part is that he’s still very young and he’s left a lot of cricket in him. If he can harness his potential in the right channels, there is no reason why, even in Tests, he can’t be a regular component of the system of New Zealand.
